Now that winter is just about over (finally!), we figure now would be a good time to spruce up your business technology and possibly tackle some projects that have been on the back burner all winter long.
Here are a few tips you can take to clean up and organize your office technology.
Ensure your backups are running as expected. Nothing is worse than losing data, and this time of year with spring storms it is especially important to make sure all your crucial files and documents are being backed up on a regular basis.
Have a Disaster Recovery Plan in place. What happens if a storm or tornado strikes? How is your business prepared to handle such an emergency? It’s important that your business has some form of DR plan set in place to ensure that your business is back up and running in no time.
Clean out your inbox. Clutter builds up quickly, so it may be a good idea to go through your inbox and archive old emails you want to keep while deleting the junk and clutter you don’t need.
Update old technology. It’s important to ensure the maximum efficiency, security and mobility of your business. That’s why it’s important to keep technology up-to-date to deter off the latest threats and ensure your business is running at peak efficiency.
Consider going paperless. Do you have stacks of paper lying around the office? How about an entire office room, or worse, an entire office floor! – dedicated to nothing but paper filing cabinets. Free up some space and save money by considering going paperless.
Clean, literally. Take time to dust off your monitor, keyboard, PC tower. You’ll be surprised at how quickly they fill up with dust!
